Welcome!
Dear EAA Guests,
On behalf of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and the Gruenhagen Conference Center, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our university! We are excited to have the opportunity to provide lodging to you during the 2012 EAA AirVenture. We hope that you will find the many resources and amenities of our campus valuable as you take in all of the sights and sounds of EAA AirVenture 2012.
For the sixth consecutive year Gruenhagen Conference Center will be hosting the, “UW Oshkosh Showcase.” On Thursday, July 26th you are invited to Gruenhagen Conference Center from 7 to 8 pm to enjoy a root beer float social, and to learn more about the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and the City of Oshkosh. Many resources will be made available to you to introduce you to our university and community. This event is free of charge, and is very family friendly. Through the years, we have many EAA guests return to see each other and “catch up” on the previous year. We also invite staff and students from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh to attend so that we can interact and get to know our distinguished EAA guests who call UW Oshkosh their home during EAA AirVenture week.
We wish to make you aware of important updates related to building access in our residence halls and Gruenhagen Conference Center again this year. In each of our residence halls and conference center, you will be able to enter the building via the main entrance. All other entrances will be locked for the safety and security of all guests. We ask that you use the main entrance, and that you do not prop any doors open in any of our facilities. Signage will be posted at each of the building entrances directing you to the main entrance of the building. Further information related to this important initiative will be provided at the time of your check-in at the EAA Guest Reservations Center in the Gruenhagen Conference Center Titan Lounge.
Finally, at the time of your check-in, we invite you to take advantage of the many resources we offer at our Guest Reservations Center related to the following…
A. On campus and off campus dining options;
B. City of Oshkosh EAA Shuttle Bus information;
C. Resources related to what the City of Oshkosh has to offer you
On behalf of the entire Gruenhagen Conference Center staff team, we hope you enjoy your stay with us!
Sincerely,
Marc K. Nylen, Director
Gruenhagen Conference Center
